It is Friday, and there is no better way to spend the weekend than playing a new release, or continuing a game that you’ve been playing for a while. Either way, it is time for Weekend Gaming.

New Releases

Metro: Last Light (Xbox 360, PS3, PC) – Head back to the metro lines of Moscow as you try to survive after nuclear weapons destroyed the ground above. Metro features a great story, a very unique setting, and great gunplay. It has been released to great reviews, and our own Andreas gave it a 9/10.

Dust 514 (PS3) – This persistent-world FPS is set in the EVE Online universe. In EVE players could not visit the surface of planets in the game, but that is different in Dust 514. Plus both games are connected, meaning events that happen in EVE will transpire to Dust 514, and vice versa. It is a free-to-play on the PlayStation Network, so what is stopping you from trying it out?

Anomaly 2 (PC, Mac, Linux) – For fans of tower defense games, Anomaly 2 is something you do not want to miss. Set in the United States in the near future, the ice caps have moved down into the northern part of the country. You must make your way across the continent to deliver important information to defend Earth from an alien invasion. It also features multiplayer, where one side players tower defense and the other plays tower offense. It will be interesting to see how that works.

Brandon’s Weekend Gaming

BioShock Infinite – So yeah, I just started this game, and it is all I can think about. After three hours I have decided that this game is incredible, and I can not even imagine what is in store for me. I just want to go home and play this game until I beat it. I really like the fact that almost all of the footage that I saw around the launch was from the first three hours of the game. I am ready for many surprises!

Resident Evil Revelations – We have already received our review copy for Resident Evil Revelations, the 3DS game which has been ported to the PS3, 360 and WiiU consoles, which I already played some at the recent Capcom preview event. I quite like what I have played so far but we are a ways away from making a true judgement. In any case – you can shoot and walk so that’s okay!
