It is Friday, and there is no better way to spend the weekend than playing a new release, or continuing a game that you’ve been playing for a while. Either way, it is time for Weekend Gaming.

New Releases

Fuse (Xbox 360, PS3) – Fuse is the first Insomniac game to release on multiple platforms. The EA published third person shooter focuses on four player co-op in a futuristic  setting. It may be similar to other third person shooters on the market, but the fact that it is a multiplatform game from Insomniac is more than enough incentive to check it out.

The Night of the Rabbit (PC, Mac) – Have you ever wanted to be a magician? What if a white rabbit came along to help your dream? The Night of the Rabbit is a point and click adventure game following the story of a young boy named Jerry who follows a white rabbit to a mystical place called Mousewood. In this land animals can speak, and magic is prevalent in the area. The adventure game from Daedalic Entertainment features an awesome art style, and promises to surprise the player with a rich story.

Rising Storm (PC) – Over the last few years World War II games have lost their presence in the video game market. But Tripwire Interactive keeps WWII alive with Rising Storm. This is the Pacific Theater expansion of the insanely popular Red Orchestra 2. The game features the same realistic gameplay of RO2, which attracts a unique crowd.

Anomaly 2 – The tower defense genre is quite popular, but what about tower offense? 11 bit studios answers this question with Anomaly 2. This tower offense game takes place in the near future in America where aliens have invaded, and it is up to a group of soldiers to make it to New York to get supplies and deliver a program that can help defeat aliens.

The Night of the Rabbit – I played through the first few hours of this point and click adventure game, and I can’t wait to get into it more. The art style is incredible, and the magical overtones has me interested. Expect my review next week.

Rising Storm – I’ve always been interested in the Red Orchestra series, but I have not played any of the games yet. The Pacific Theater is one that I always felt did not get enough attention in the video game industry. The team at Tripwire Interactive has proven they can handle WWII games well, so I’m excited to get my hands on this game.

Resident Evil Revelations – I am heading back into the zombie ghost ship filled with evil and angry creatures ready to bite my head off. Resident Evil Revelations does a great job of transferring the mobile experience to the the HD consoles while adding some new elements to what is already a decent game.

GRID 2 – We are expecting our review copy of GRID 2 to hit the mail box this weekend and I frankly cannot wait to play it after my hands on with the Codemasters racer after the preview event I attended a while back. GRID 2 is the follow up to the cult hit GRID from the British developer which hit stores over 5 years ago!
