WrestleMania fans must be incredibly excited this morning. 2K Sports has announced that a new single player mode called 30 Years of WrestleMania will be featured in WWE 2K14.
The mode will span the thirty years that WrestleMania has been around, allowing players to participate in famous matches, like Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant, or the WrestleMania 28 main event between The Rock and John Cena.
“For nearly three decades, WWE has inspired millions worldwide through the historic, cultural and undeniable phenomenon that is WrestleMania,” said Chris Snyder, Senior Director of Marketing at 2K. “Through the 30 Years of WrestleMania Mode in WWE 2K14, players can now relive their favorite nostalgic and recent WrestleMania moments – from an incredible roster to authentic presentation and match play – in a unique and engaging way.”
The mode will be designed as a progressive single-player campaign. It is split up between five distinct eras of WWE history. The mode will feature authentic arenas, WWE Superstar entrances and attire, as well as era-specific graphics and video filters to make it feel like the real thing. .
2K has also announced that the roster reveal for the 30 Years of WrestleMania will be announced on Twitch.TV on Saturday August 17 at 3:30 p.m. EDT. It will take place from the WWE SummerSlam Axxes on www.twitch.tv /2K.
WWE 2K14 is set to release on October 29 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
