Battlefield 4 Premium announced by EA

It was announced at Gamescom that Battlefield 4 Premium is already in the works for the unreleased Battlefield 4. Premium will cost users an extra $50. Doing so will give users two weeks early access to the five expansion packs announced in the Premium service, along with priority position in server queues, new content every week, and 12 bonus Battlefield Battlepacks. 

For those looking to get Battlefield 4 for both current and next-gen consoles, don’t fret. Your subscription will carry over between consoles, as long as you are upgrading from Xbox 360 to Xbox One, or PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4.

The five expansion packs include: Second Assault, which is a re-imaging of four Battlefield 3 maps, but now using the Frostbite 3 engine; China Rising, where players can fight on the China mainland; Naval Strikewhich features naval combat on the high seas; Dragon’s Teeth, an expansion focused on urban combat, and the Final Stand, which will be conclusion to the war.

Battlefield 4 is set to release on October 29 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. The next-gen versions will be out sometime later.
