Warner Bros. Interactive and Techland have announced that those who pre-order Dying Light in North America will receive the “Be the Zombie” mode at launch.
Dying Light is a first-person survival game set during a zombie outbreak. It mixes first-person combat with parkour mechanics, and has been described as “Dead Island mixed with Mirror’s Edge.”
The “Be the Zombie” mode is a PvP game mode where players can take control of a night hunter, a creature with special powers, like superhuman speed, a tentacle to grapple around the world, a special charge attack, and more. Players can gain experience points for their night hunter and level up through a special skills tree.
Dying Light is set to release in 2014 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC. Below you can see some new screenshots of Dying Light from PAX.
