Today Ubisoft announced Assassin’s Creed: Pirates which is a high end mobile and tablet game in development by Ubisoft Paris. The game will feature the managing of your crew, upgrading your ship, recruiting new crew members and engaging in massive ‘real-time naval battles to become the most feared pirate in the Caribbean’.
Players will take the role of Alonzo Batilla – a young ambitious captain – who will explore the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy.
Along the way, players will cross paths with Assassins and Templars, as well as famous historical figures including Blackbeard, Bellamy, and Hornigold.
The game will mostly feature the naval combat we have come to know and love in Assassin’s Creed III (and IV). Pirates is set for a Fall 2013 release.
