Ice-Pick Lodge is developing ‘Knock Knock’ – Who’s There?

Posted by: 9/22/2013

When Russian development studio Ice-Pick Lodge received an anonymous email witch ideas and art for a game they were asked to finish, it obviously seemed like one of these ‘Hey, I have this game idea’ things. However, the studio was granted creative freedom and decided to look into it.

Knock Knock centers around a lone, hermit-esque character who lives in a wooden house all by himself. The concept of the game surrounds the idea of letting in a stranger to play hide and seek – and survive until dawn.

As soon as the first Visitor emerges from the forest, the countdown begins. Every passing hour brings them closer to the house, and the house’s walls offer no sanctuary. Something is already inside. Something is opening the window and banging around in the kitchen. Something controls the cellar and attic. Floorboards creak softly deep in the bowels of the house.

While it is a bad idea to approach the strange visitors head on, you’ll have some items (which will be random every time) to aid you in making it through the night.

The house will be need to repaired and maintained as you go through the game. The strange things that are going on in the house can be fully explained if you find the key. Check out the trailer below. A release date for this PC game has not been set.
