The newly announced PlayStation Vita TV is a micro-console with the guts of a PS Vita that not only allows for playing Vita, PSP and even PS One games on your TV but also features video streaming services and remote play for you PS4.

PS Vita TV will use the Dual Shock 3 controller and cost less than 100 Dollars, it is also small, the console measures at 6 by 10 centimeters. It can be compared to an Apple TV or Roku but it is so much more with the capabilities described above.

The PS Vita TV includes a PS Vita game card slot, a memory card slot, as well as a USB 2.0 port and HDMI output at 720p, 1080i and 480p. The console also comes with 1 GB built-in memory.

The newly announced PS Vita TV will be available in Japan on November 14th. The base unit will cost you 9,480 yen which is close to $100. An 8 GB memory card and “PlayStation Vita TV edition” white DualShock 3 bundle is currently priced at 14,280 yen.

The PS Vita TV is currently announced for Japan only but it is our guess that the console will come to the US as well.
