Is that headline confusing? Well let me explain. Ultra Street Fighter IV is releasing on multiple platforms, on multiple days, in multiple formats.
The digital upgrade version of Ultra Street Fighter IV is releasing on June 3rd for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 through their digital stores. The digital upgrade is available to anyone who owns Super Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition. This digital upgrade will cost you $15.
On August 5th, a physical retail version will be available in stores for the PS3 and Xbox 360, while a full digital bundle will be available to download only for PS3. The price of these releases will be $40.
Then on August 8th, the game will be released for PC via Steam. PC users can purchase either a digital upgrade (if you already own the previously mentioned games), or the full digital bundle. The digital upgrade on PC will be $15 as well, and the full digital bundle for PC will run you $30.
Alright, now with that out of the way, let’s talk about Ultra Street Fighter IV. The upgrade gives you five new characters (Poison, Hugo, Elena, Rolento, Decapre) to bring the total roster count to 44. There will also be six new battle environments added.
Those that pre-order the game will receive the 2014 Challengers Costume Pack, which includes Jungle Elena, Medieval Hugo, Pirate Poison, Wizard Rolento and Gladiator Decapre.
