Today Harmonix has announced the pre-order details for the Rock Band 4 Standalone versions of the game, which are of course different from the instrument bundles which will get some details later on.
For Xbox One owners, who can now pre-order the standalone version of the game, you will be able to purchase the game and the legacy adapter, which allows you to use mold instruments that worked on 360, for $80 a pop. The PS4 version, because the Sony consoles use Bluetooth, will not need the adapter and cost you $60.
“By offering game-only options and supporting seamless compatibility with previous-generation music game controllers, we’re thrilled to be offering the best value for longtime music gaming fans this holiday,” said Harmonix CEO, Steve Janiak.
