EA and DICE announced the next Battlefield game today. It is called Battlefield V, and it is described as a “never-before-seen portrayal” of World War II. I’m all for alternate history, and this looks pretty rad.
The game features a Tides of War gameplay mode, which we aren’t really sure yet what that means. My hope is a persistent map that is always changing based on different skirmishes featuring squads, kind of like Heroes and Generals, but with the budget of a full fledged Battlefield game.

Battlefield V releases for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on October 19th.
