Is Call of Duty: World at War just another WWII shooter that’s not worth your time? Or should you head to your local game shop to pick it up? Read the review.

Game: Call of Duty: World at War
Platforms: 360, PS3, PC, Wii, PS2, DS
Multiplayer: 2 offline co-op, 4 online co-op, 18 versus
Genre: FPS
Published by: Activision
Developed by: Treyarch
ESRB Rating: M for Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language

Pros: Very fun zombie mode, Amazing single player graphics, Awesome sound effects, Single player is just the right length, Tons of guns to choose, Easy to pick up controls

Cons: No spilt-screen co-op online, Graphics for multiplayer could be better, Some lag when playing online

Rambling:
Is fire and zombies the new thing for games to have? I canĂt wait for Mario to have a flame thrower and get chased by evil zombies!! “It’s a me Mario, here to kill you zombies with ma flamethrower MUHAHA AHAA!!”

Gameplay:
4/5 – Singleplayer:
Single player is loads of fun and each level has something different and awesome to play/see! Just the right amount of levels so you don’t think it’s to long but it does have enough so it doesn’t feel to short.

Like every Call of Duty game, gameplay is top notch along with easy to pick up controls.

I like a good challenge every now and then but this is just ridiculous how hard it is even on medium. “I don’t even want to know how many times I got killed by the stupid grenade.”

4/5 – Multiplayer:
The best part of this game is the Nazi Zombie game mode, you can play it 2 player split screen offline or, 4 player online, and the object of the game is to kill zombies, wave after wave of evil Nazi zombies while trying to keep the building your in intact.

There are about 10 maps across deathmatch, team deathmatch, cap flag and a few other game types. I did have some lag online, but nothing to bad. If your game is not lagging, the gameplay is just as good as single player, saying that though, I didn’t have too much fun playing online.

5/5 – Graphics:
The graphics have seen a very nice make over sense COD4 tons of character detail and level detail, but were the graphics really shine are the effects; fire, explosions, lighting, all look amazing.

5/5 – Sound:
Pretty amazing sounds. It really makes you feel like rockets are going over your head, or dogs are chasing you.
(Five thumbs up! or I guess five points up…)

In the end:
If you were a fan of the COD4 multiplayer you will feel at home here, but if you’re more of a Halo player or Rainbow Six player I recommend renting this for the Nazi zombie mode and the single player experience.

18/20 – A must rent for me
