We knew they were coming. A new Call of Duty brings new ‘bigger and better’ Collectors Editions to the number one Activsion franchise. This year’s Call of Duty, Black Ops comes in two CE variations much like Modern Warfare 2 did last November, gamers will be able to pick up the Prestige and Hardened Editions. How can they top night vision goggles? Easy, a remote controlled R/C car with a fully functioning surveillance camera inspired by the RC-XD which will be featured in the game. The toy car will have a range of about 200 feet and transmit color video and audio.
The Prestige Edition is inclusive of the Hardened Edition which will come with a custom “Black Ops limited edition medal”, an exclusive Black Ops Avatar outfit and four playable coop maps.
Activsion did not mention a price but presumably the Prestige Edition will cost 149.99 while Hardened will be 79.99 according to last years pricing and some early posting by online retailers.
Check your local GameStop, Amazon or Best Buy which all should have the listings up pretty soon.
I was certainly looking forward to a real rifle or some handgranades but I guess a toy car is ‘neat’ – not sure for how long though.
