New and improved Milo demo from TED

Peter Molyneux is an innovator, philosopher and marketing specialist. Everytime he introduces a new game or product we get sucked into his positive aura and excitment about his creations. Last year at E3 2009 when Kinect was revealed he showed a virtual AI boy named Milo interacting with Kate. It was impressive and exciting until people got their hands on it. There was criticism regarding playing with a boy being dirty and unresponsiveness of the tech demo. This year at TED 2010 Peter showed a more advanced version of Milo with many changes and improvements. the video footage has since been released to the public. It does seem a lot more inteactive and ‘real’, not as canned as last year’s presentation.

The 12 minute or so talk shows one of Lionhead’s talented developers interact with Milo while Molyneux moderated. The demo is now more fleshed out and responsive then we had seen previously, including a plot which has Milo moving to the US from England and dealing with a few problems. I am very cautious after Fable’s promises falling short but I can’t say I am not intruiged. Check out the entire demo below.
