We have been waiting 3 years to find out what Ken Levine and the rest of Irrational Games’ crew have been working on. I can confirm in is not SWAT5.
‘What is Icarus’ and ‘Project Icarus’, the code names the game has been known under turns out to be a BioShock sequel named Infinite and it looks epic. That’s the good news.
The bad news?
We have to wait about 16 months to play it. Irrational has confirmed the game will release in 2012 – the year might have a certain amount of significance. The trailer shows a new world created high up in the sky and certainly continues the BioShock theme from the original in a new form. Have a look at the announcement trailer below.
Do you guys think a BioShock sequel is what gamers want or were you looking for a new IP? I am very excited and that’s after only a glimpse of the full game.
