Tonight at midnight a lot of gamers (and their moms) will be lining up at GameStop’s all over the US with a hot cup of coffee to keep them awake. Halo Reach is getting a midnight launch which is not a big surprise but the fact that so many people still want to play Halo is sort of amazing and a huge testament to Bungie’s commitment to the franchise which they will be letting go. 343 Industries will be taking over the Microsoft owned IP.
I am not a Halo fanatic and will be at home, probably finishing my RUSE review when people storm stores and clobber up all the free goodies along with their copy of Bungie’s last hurrah which ironically isnt Halo 4 but a prequel which we already know the outcome to.
While I might not be AS excited as many fellow gamers I do look forward to playing Halo Reach and experience a well polished campaign as well as multiplayer. Here’s to hoping we all get to pawn some N00Bs, right?
