Valve today announced that their latest DLC, ‘The Sacrifice’ is due out on October 5th. The downloadable content will be released for Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 at the same time. The sacrifice is a prequel to the previous ‘The Passing’ which was released earlier this year.
‘The Sacrifice’ will be available for download on Xbox Live for 560 Microsoft Points and free to all PC gamers according to Valve. Left 4 Dead 2 players will also be able to play with the original survivors.
The unique gameplay element of the latest DLC is that one player will sacrifice themselves in order to save the rest of the group.
