The Rockstar Games blog posted an incredible video piece on Team Bondi’s MotionScan technology which works from 360 degrees to capture 100 percent of the actors’ facial movements from all angles.
Have a look, it is easy to spot the difference to traditional animation. It seems almost too real, causing a reverse uncanny valley since the faces look so real versus the environments.
