Today Microsoft announced the launch of the Xbox LIVE Rewards program which will allow Silver, er – FREE MEMBERSHIP users and Xbox LIVE Gold Subscribers to earn rewards based on purchases, renewals and taking surveys.
The rewards will come in the form of Microsoft Points which can be used to purchase even more items. Also, activating Netflix will be rewarded in form of MSP.
If that is not enough, users will also be able to participate in exclusive promotions.
Existing Xbox LIVE users will not be earning points retroactively from the looks of it – so being a loyal paying member for 5+ years will not earn you any Mega Space Pennies.
