According to sources close to Joystiq, the often rumored Halo CE remake is actually being made. Sources close to the matter explain that the new version will be running in full HD and is being made from brand new assets as opposed to an up res.
Also noted was the fact that the game is being developed by Saber Interactive which developed the early next gen title ‘TimeShift’. 343 Industries is overseeing the project. There are numerous details still outstanding and we have reached out to Microsoft to confirm or deny this story.
If the sources are in fact correct, Halo Combat Evolved HD will drop on November 15th 2011, 10 years after the original came to market on the first Xbox.
