onPoint – Fruit Ninja Kinect

Posted by: 8/22/2011

When Fruit Ninja hit the app store it spread like wild fire and quickly made its way across the mobile devices. Well, Halfbrick Studios thought, it may be a good idea to bring this game to Xbox LIVE as a Kinect title. Slicing fruit is fun on a phone but is it good with your body as the controller?

Fruit Ninja Kinect is a fairly simple game, you can slice fruit with your hands and feet, jumping around like a ninja, literally. It can also be played with a friend. There are several modes like classic, arcade and challenge modes. Fruit Ninja Kinect also has solid leaderboard integration and unlockable backgrounds and blades.

While the game may be slightly overpriced at 800 MSP, I still have to recommend it, as it is an absolute blast. Turning on Fruit Ninja will bring the whole family together and everyone wants to get in. The Controls work and there is just enough to the game that makes it worth a purchase.

onPause verdict: Buy It! – Fruit Ninja Kinect needs to be on every hard drive of a Kinect enabled Xbox 360.
