First TV streaming on Xbox 360 is Verizon FiOS

We knew the previously revealed list of Xbox LIVE services would kick off sooner rather than later. The first TV streaming service for the Xbox 360 Dashboard will be Verizon FiOS.

26 channels will be available if you meet a few criteria, well, they are rather massively prohibiting criteria. In order to get those 26 channels on your Xbox 360 Dash, which will be Kinect enabled, you will need to subscribe to Xbox LIVE Gold, FiOS TV and Internet.

The concept is great and we are excited about the possibilities it brings but having to pay an additional 100 Dollars or so per month seems just too high of a wall to climb – unless you are a pre-existing customer of course.

New customers will be able to take advantage of a promotion which will include an 89 Dollar Triple Play (For the first two years), Xbox LIVE Gold and a copy of HALO Combat Evolved Anniversary. This deal will last until January 21st.
