A day after Rockstar set the internet ablaze with the first GTA V trailer, the developer revealed some juicy details on their official website.
First off all, Rockstar confirmed that GTA V is ‘in full development’ by ‘series creator’ Rockstar North, this may have been obvious but needs to be said these days.
Also, Rockstar stated that GTA V will be taking it to the “city of Los Santos and surrounding hills, countryside and beaches in the largest and most ambitious game Rockstar has yet created”.
A bold new direction in open-world freedom, storytelling, mission-based gameplay and online multiplayer, Grand Theft Auto V focuses on the pursuit of the almighty dollar in a re-imagined, present day Southern California.
Going back to Los Santos is a bold step since it was the biggest city of San Andreas and also the first one players encountered in that game.
While we don’t know who the main character is or if there are multiple, ala GTA Liberty City Stories expansions, we can guess that the possibility for multiple leads is high. GTA IV had 3 protagonists with added DLC.
