November Game Sales are off the charts and lead by Xbox 360

November 2011, which includes the infamous Black Friday weekend, has been incredibly positive for all three video game consoles and its software alike. The big winner however was, once more, the Xbox 360 which has sold an incredible 1.7 Million consoles last month.

Nintendo has reported that it moved 860,000 Wiis, over 795,000 3DS systems and more than 350,000 DS – that is close to 2 Million consoles combined.

While Sony didn’t reveal its exact sales numbers for the PS3, it did note that sales were up 70% over last year, putting new PS3 owners at around 900,000.

That is a lot of plastic, motherboards and disc drives.

Software also sold well, and while we don’t have exact numbers, NPD did provide the now typical overall ranking.

1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (360, PS3, Wii, PC)
2. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (360, PS3, PC)
3. Battlefield 3 (360, PS3, PC)
4. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations (360, PS3, PC)
5. Just Dance 3 (Wii, 360)
6. Madden NFL 12 (360, PS3, Wii, PSP, PS2)
7. Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception (PS3)
8. Saints Row: The Third (360, PS3, PC)
9. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (WII)
