Codemasters officially reveals long awaited GRID 2

Posted by: 8/9/2012

The original Race Driver Grid as it is called in Europe was launched in the summer of 2008 with fast paced and action packed racing. Fans have been demanding a follow up for years and years.

Codemasters was quiet for a very long time until it teased GRID 2 with a logo and a spinning tire. Finally, the game maker has revealed GRID 2 officially which also came with a ton of previews, detailing lots of cool features and some drastic changes.

The helmet cam or cockpit view has been removed since only 5 percent of players use it, in exchange for better frame rates and detail. The other notable change is the lack of assists, the game will not have all of the usual added help features we have come used to. This may annoy casual fans of the genre but this game is made by Brits who love racing, you won’t find racing lines or break assists in GRID 2.

Expect GRID 2 to hit shelves sometime in 2013 on current generation hardware.
