It is a known fact that Grasshopper Manufacture makes some seriously off the wall games that are usually very niche but also pretty awesome. We all remember Lollipop Chainsaw, Shadows of the Damned and of course Killer7.
Today Gematsu posted a piece about an issue of the Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu in which the mag details some news and imagery about the game. Players will take control of assassin protagonist Mondo Zappa who has been hired by the ‘Execution Office’ which is led by a man named Brian Roses, to murder a bunch of killers around the world – hence the name ‘Killer is Dead’.
It appears that the game is focused on close-range combat via swords – oh and protagonist Zappa has a transforming drill arm – we will know more soon. The game will be out on Xbox 360 and PS3 ‘this summer’.
