Today Deep Silver, the newly proud owner of developer Volition, Saint’s Row and the Metro franchises, has announced that Techland’s Dead Island has ‘sold-through’ 5 million units at retail.
Sell through numbers are much different from units shipped to retailers folks, the 5 million means Deep Silver has put that many copies of the game in peoples Xboxes, PlayStation 3’s and PC’s.
The upcoming Dead Island: Riptide stands a good chance to top that number, look for it on April 23rd.
