After an incredible amount of rumors, fake studios and game names Kojima has finally settled the score. Metal Gear Solid 5 is The Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes in the same game which is called ‘Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain’.
Kojima revealed the game, along with a new trailer which can be seen below, at the beginning of Konami’s GDC 2013 Fox Engine presentation which consists of new and old footage from the various trailers we have seen so far.
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will feature Snake after a 9 year coma along with a character named Ishmael who seems to be voiced by Kiefer Sutherland. Weird right? After the tutorial level in which snake is crawling and stumbling out of the hospital, he will be able to move and roam the world freely as Kojima indicated.
Check out the trailer below, the game was shown running on PC but is targeted for PS3 and 360, of course we assume the game will be on the PS4 and next generation Xbox as well.
