We knew the game was coming after Game Informer’s cover story but now we actually get to see what the re-imagined THIEF game will look like.
THIEF isn’t about killing or being bad-ass, THIEF will test players in being stealth, sneaky and invisible in order to get whatever what they desire.
There is a rising tide of fear in The City. Hatred saturates every stone and whilst the rich prosper, the less fortunate face misery and repression. Ravaged with sickness and famine, they wait for something to change.
‘Garrett, THE Master Thief’ is back in action and once again the protagonist of the franchise as he has in the games past.
Into this shadowy world steps Garrett the Master Thief in a first-person adventure featuring intelligent design that allows players to take full control, with freedom to choose how they approach and overcome each challenge and forge their own path through the game.
THIEF is being developed by Eidos Montreal for PC, PS4 and ‘other next generation consoles’ as described in the press release. THIEF won’t be on PS3, Xbox 360 or the WiiU for that matter.
There is no release date set for THIEF.
