Video games have come an incredibly long way with regards to gameplay, features, graphics, social interactions like coop and competitive multiplayer in the current generation with PS3, Xbox 360 and even the Wii in some respects (Monster Hunter).
What do gamers want to see in the next generation of consoles apart from better graphics and faster load times?
On the surface many of us would be happy with Call of Duty Ghosts having better dynamic lighting or Battlefield 4’s tower collapsing in a multiplayer match – but is that enough?
I am hard pressed to agree with such a statement because after a few sort months we will ask for more, gamers will want to see a true difference between PS3 and PS4 as well as Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Are the social features like Twitch integration or streaming TV enough to sell us on a 400 or 500 Dollar price tag?
Gamers are too often bickering and complaining about games not being ‘good enough’ or harassing, and even bashing developers about their (#$%&) games – which doesn’t help anyone to be honest and also – grow up.
What developers want to hear is constructive feedback and ideas – what do you want to see in games on the next generation that wouldn’t have been possible on current gen? Maybe we don’t even need better hardware and online infrastructure to make a ‘better’ or ‘more compelling game’.
Tell the Activisions, EAs and Ubisoft’s of the world what you want on their message boards or social media sites like Twitter and Facebook.
