Recently Ubisoft and VICE announce that they had teamed up to create a new series called “Rum, Guns, and Gallows”, episode 1 of which can be seen here, to educate us about Pirate History and Lifestyle.
Now episode 2 has gone live where Will travels to Kingston, Jamaica, to learn about the most notorious pirate of all, Blackbeard.
He finds Blackbeard’s legacy alive and well, and his drink of choice, rum, which is still an important currency on the island. Visiting a distillery, he takes a taste of the 78 percent proof booze that sustained the pirates, and learns why it was so vital during Blackbeard’s reign. Later, he spends some time on the other side of town with Jamaica’s current bootleggers, carrying on Blackbeard’s piracy tradition even today.
Assassin’s Creed IV launches on October 29th on current gen and is also a next gen launch title.
