Microsoft is and has been pushing ‘the power of he cloud’ and ‘Xbox LIVE compute’ as major features of the Xbox One. The cloud will allow players to not only take their profile, purchases, achievements and more on the go and use any Xbox One to make it ‘their’ Xbox One as the video below describes.
Furthermore, the cloud will end up allowing game developers to use the massive dedicated server farm for multiplayer gaming and ultimately cloud computing, at least that’s the plan. Studios will be able to take some of the calculations and processing a game requires and offload it from the Xbox One to the cloud servers.
If all of this will work is to be seen. We will learn a lot more about these features once Xbox One launches on November 22nd for $499.
