Today Microsoft has announced that the Xbox One, which launched across 13 territories this year, has sold over 3 Million units across the globe before the year 2013 came to a close. Of course 2013 was just the start and Micorosft expects to have a bright future with some blockbuster titles in the lineup for 2014.
We’re excited for the year ahead and will be working hard to bring Xbox One to more fans and more markets around the globe. 2014 will be a promising year with many more great games on the way for Xbox One including “Titanfall,” “Watch_Dogs,” “Project Spark,” “Sunset Overdrive,” “Tom Clancy’s The Division,” “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt,” “Destiny,” “Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare,” and “The Elder Scrolls Online,” among others. More games, more features, more content, more fun – all coming your way this year.
Obviously those are huge numbers and defy some of the hate the console received after the DRM and PR fiasco last year. No word on Sony’s Q4 numbers yet but we expect to hear those details during CES.
