Kotaku got the inside scoop on some leaked images around one of the two supposed Assassin’s Creed games that are set to release this fall. Assassin’s Creed Unity, which could be a code name, is set in Paris and will come to current-gen consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) only. The leaked images show Notre Dame, the Seine River, and other Parisian landmarks which is looking a lot like an alpha build of the game – maybe even earlier.
There is also a rumored Xbox 360, PS3 and WiiU game on its way potentially codenamed Comet but we have not seen any images just yet. You can read more about this on Kotaku but from where we are sitting this sounds pretty legit.
The important factor here is that this would mean we will have no cross-gen hold back from making a game work on the outdated console technology and begin getting into Killzone Shadow Fall and InFamous Second Son territory in terms of production quality and of course AI and asset performance. Color us intrigued.
