We all had our doubts and worries when Forza Horizon 2 was announced by Microsoft because it was coming to the Xbox One and Xbox 360 but this morning Turn 10 Studios confirmed that, in fact, the game will be running on two different engines.
The Xbox One version of Horizon 2 is built on the Forza 5 engine and led by Playground Games, who brought us the original game on the Xbox 360. For the 360 version of Horizon 2 we now know that it is built on Horizon 1 engine and led by Sumo Digital.
This is indeed great news and we should have more hope that the game will not be hindered by its last gen bottleneck compatibility issues.
