Today Activision and Edge of Reality have released a new trailer for Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark which showcases some new gameplay. Activision also revealed details on the Escalation mode, which is the co-op multiplayer survival mode making a big comeback in this year’s game.
Megatron’s bid to claim Cybertron’s most ancient and destructive weapon is one which will spill out over space and time itself, says Activision. Players will need the help of friends if you hope to achieve victory for your side.
Over forty playable characters are at your disposal once unlocked, each with a distinct ability set and tactical edge. But choose carefully – you’ll be facing not only the relentless hordes of your enemy’s minions, but their leaders, as well. Is your game plan tight enough to hold together when a Power Foe like Shockwave or Warpath smashes through your defenses? Work with your teammates, upgrade your arsenal, throw down turrets, deploy decoys and barricade yourself behind fortifications – whatever you have to do to claim the title of last bot standing.
The game is set to launch on June 24th for the PS4 and PS3 as well as Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Players cal also pick it up for the Wii, the 3DS and Windows PC. The Escalation Mode is not included in Wii U and 3DS versions of the game. Learn more about the game on the official website.
