The Big onPause 2015 Video Game Prediction Post

Posted by: 1/12/2015

Another year.

As 2015 is just getting going, we already know that many surprises will be upon us as the time goes by – they always come, don’t they?

The onPause staff put together a list of our Top 5  predictions of the year and in all honesty, we will likely be proven wrong and look totally silly when we look back at this post in 2016, but we sure as heck will try!

Andreas’ 2015 Predictions:

I love this time of year. We get a whole new 12 months to get our hopes up for games and industry events only to be let down or (hopefully) vindicated in our predictions. 2015 is filled with lots of hopes and dreams and I can’t wait to see what it brings for us. Here are my five best guesses at what those big news will be like!

5 – The PlayStation 4 will continue to outsell Xbox One in 2015.

4 – Oculus Rift, Sony’s Project Morpheus and other VR headsets will remain a novelty item for enthusiasts.

3 – Mass Effect 4 will be announced this year for a 2016 release window.

2 – 2015 will be the year of the Remaster with Gears or War and Uncharted Trilogy releases.

1 – We will finally get Fallout 4, set in Boston, from Bethesda this fall with first gameplay shown at E3 2015!

Brandon’s 2015 Predictions:

Here we are, another year for video games. After a rather lackluster year, 2015 is shaping up to be a massive one in the gaming community. Here are my five predictions for 2015:

5 – Less games will be delayed in 2015, meaning more awesome games will be released this year!

4 – This autumn we’ll see our first gameplay look at Cyberpunk 2077, which I am really excited about.

3 – Batman: Arkham Knight will live up to the hype, and be a great closing to the Arkham trilogy.

2 – Star Wars Battlefront will launch to coincide with Star Wars Episode VII, and it will be incredible.

1 – The first consumer edition of the Oculus VR headset will be released to the public this autumn.
