IO Interactive released new information today about their upcoming title Hitman 2. Hitman 2 will serve as a platform for all future Hitman content…as well as past content. All of the stages and missions from 2016’s Hitman will be brought forward into Hitman 2. Stages from Hitman will be updated to take advantages of Hitman 2’s new items and modes in addition to an improved graphics engine. Hitman 2‘s new systems will be brought to the old stages as well, NPCs will sport improved AI and be able to spot Agent 47 in mirrors, among other changes. If that news isn’t sweet enough, it gets better: owners of Hitman will receive the updated stages free of charge.
It isn’t clear when the updated levels will make their way into Hitman 2. The answer could be just around the corner, as the official Hitman twitter account has hinted that more information about Hitman 2 could be revealed at this week’s Gamescom. For now, you’ll just have to settle for this new trailer that gives a sneak peak at what the Hitman stages will look like in Hitman 2.
