Irrational Games has shown a gameplay demo exclusivly to press behind closed doors in a NYC event in August along with a trailer that was released to the public that day. Tomorrow morning Irrational will finally be releasing the gameplay demo to the public exclusivly via Xbox LIVE and Xbox.com for 24 hours. The video will be distributed to press the following day.

The BioShock® Infinite demo video opens with the game’s protagonist, former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt, battling through the streets of Columbia, a crumbling city in the sky. He has come to rescue Elizabeth, a mysterious young woman imprisoned there since childhood. As DeWitt and Elizabeth merge their powers in a desperate bid to escape the city, viewers will witness intense indoor and outdoor battles, new weapons and abilities, and dangerous new enemies including Elizabeth’s terrifying captor.
BioShock Infinite is developed by Irrational Games and will be published by 2K Games for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2012.
