Bungie has created the Halo franchise which saved the Xbox and went on to become one of the biggest and most beloved IP in the world of video games. The creativity the studio has brought to modern video games created a massive and unique universe that is second to none.
However, Bungie is done with Halo games and left Microsoft to create a new game for publisher Activision. The new game is called ‘Destiny’ and is a first person shooter set in a brand new universe which will interconnect players and game environment like nothing before as Bungie claims.
Destiny tells the tale of human kind’s downfall as an alien threat wiped out most of the population with the exception of a small portion that was protected by ‘The Traveler’ – it’s time to not only protect but also take back earth.
In this first video, a developer diary called ‘Pathways Out of Darkness’ Bungie discusses the motivations and story of Destiny which we can’t wait to see more of. Destiny is coming to Xbox 360 and PS3. With the next generation of consoles around the corner, will we also see it on the next Xbox and PlayStation 4? Probably.
