One of the worst kept secrets of this year has been the Far Cry 3 standalone downloadable title called ‘Blood Dragon’ which had leaked well before its official announcement today.
Ubisoft has released the game’s launch trailer this morning along with the official release date. Blood Dragon will make its way to Xbox LIVE Arcade, the PlayStation Network and Steam on May 1st. While no price has been given, it looks like 15 bucks is a safe bet according to the Steam listing.
Now the fun part, Blood Dragon is a hilarious take on 80s action movies mixed with scifi and more than a few winks at Terminator and Platoon. Blood Dragon takes place after the ‘Second Vietnam War’ and in the apocalypse after the apocalypse.
Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon looks so hilariously ridiculous, that I cannot wait to dive into the open world game on May 1st.
Also, the trailer ends in a cyborg vs cyborg fist collision. Game Over.
