Posted by: 7/15/2013

Today Codemasters finally announced F1 2013 officially on their Community Blog and it has us all jump here at onPause HQ. F1 2013 will hit stores sometime this fall, presumably September as always, for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC – no next gen news as of yet.

F1 2013: CLASSIC EDITION is a limited edition, premium package which includes F1 2013, featuring all new classic content from the 1980s, and is expanded with further content from the 1990s and additional Classic Tracks.

As with every annual series, F1 2013 will be updating its roster with all the driver and car changes including Lewis Hamilton in his Mercedes and Sergio Perez in the McLaren-Mercedes for the first time.

Of course F1 2013 will feature all of the new ruls and tire changes with updating handling models, etc.

F1 2013: CLASSIC EDITION breaks new ground to include official classic FORMULA ONE content for the first time in the series in an expansive brand new game mode introduced by legendary broadcaster Murray Walker.

This is probably the most exciting news for me and many F1 fans – the classic mode that has been requested a lot over the past few years will finally make an appearance featuring cars, drivers and tracks from the 1980s and 90s.

F1 2013 will also expand on the ‘Young Driver’s Test’ as well as add Mid Season saves and see the return of Grand Prix Mode (Single Player Championship Mode).
