The ‘Over-Under’ on Nov 15 for the Xbox One Release Date

Posted by: 8/21/2013

Sports fans or betting folks may be familiar with the term ‘over – under’ or the phrase ‘what’s the over – under on…X’.

Yes, it’s a betting phrase. Typically casinos or other gambling joints will allow players to set an over under on an event’s score such as a Super Bowl or something similar which would be based on the combined score of both teams.

In the gaming world this style bet could be applied to the Xbox One release date with the clear marker being November 15th 2013 which is the date Sony set for its next gen console.

The PlayStation 4 will hit North America on November 15th so the big question is, which release date will Microsoft pick?

Is there a reason Microsoft didn’t announce at GamesCom as Sony did? Did the console make want to ‘wait and see’ what the competition will do?

I think the release date has long been set and it will be AFTER Sony drops their box on November 15th which is a Friday – 2 weeks before the infamous ‘Black Friday’ madness and biggest sale period for video games all year.

Micorosft won’t beat Sony to the punch and release prior but they will release before Black Friday this year – that would be suicide.

Discuss.
