Today Activision and Infinity Ward have taken the veil off of the first of several DLC packs planned for 2014. The game of course is Call of Duty Ghosts and the first DLC is called ‘Onslaught’ and will feature lots of content for Ghosts fans on January 28th, when it hits Xbox LIVE first as usual.
Onslaught will feature 4 new Multiplayer maps as well as a new weapon called “Maverick” which has a ‘Dual-Purpose’. Finally the DLC will come with “Episode 1: Nightfall,” as the first installment in Call of Duty: Ghosts Extinction’s Four-Part Episodic Storyline. You’ve guessed it, there will be 4 DLC packs with new maps and Extinction story episodes.
“We know our fans have an appetite for new gameplay content all year long, and the team here is committed to delivering a full season’s worth of amazing new maps, weapons and more, starting with Onslaught in January,” said Mark Rubin, Executive Producer at Infinity Ward. “This year will see an assortment of content for players to dig into, with new, uniquely themed maps, new multiplayer weapons, and an episodic Extinction story arc that introduces new characters, new locations, and new weapons as they try to uncover the genesis of the aliens’ existence.”
The DLC is going to be available on Xbox 360 and Xbox One for 15 Dollars or as part of the season pass for $50. We anticipate that Onslaught will hit PC, PS3 and PS4 a few weeks later.
